Curriculum

Our continual goal in District 200 is to provide a curriculum which will maximize opportunities for students and to stimulate them as active learners. The district has a six year curriculum and review cycle. Jennifer Reichel, Director of Teaching and Learning, will assist administrators in the area of curriculum and staff development. During each year we are planning, implementing, and assessing our current curriculum.

All teachers teach reading as part of a Language Arts block. Spelling, writing, speaking and listening skills are incorporated into this block of time.

  • Reading & Writer's Workshop
  • Math: Bridges in grades K - 4
  • Handwriting: Zaner-Bloser method
  • Social Studies
